When Quality Matters

ANIDOS : When quality matters…

At ANIDOS – Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery – we are passionate about providing the highest level of care for cats and dogs through advanced veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. We routinely evaluate and treat teeth in abnormal positions (malocclusions), fractured teeth, fractured jaws, tumours (cancer) of the mouth and jaws, severely inflamed mouths (stomatitis) and teeth with severe gum disease (periodontal disease). Effective pain control during and following procedures is a key priority and is achieved through nerve blocks (locoregional anaesthesia) and multimodal pain relief regimes. Advanced anaesthetic techniques and monitoring lower the risk of general anaesthesia. Anaesthetic protocols are provided by a registered specialist in anaesthesia, and when necessary they also provide direct supervision. Higher risk procedures are carried out in a 24-hour referral hospital.

Dr. Robert Menzies, a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College, registered specialist in dentistry, and Board Certified Veterinary Dentist™, formed ANIDOS in 2021 following over a decade of work, study and training in Europe and the USA. ANIDOS is a specialised veterinary service focused on advanced veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. ANIDOS provides professional development training for vets and actively contributes to research.

Prof. Dr. Paula Larenza, a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, has been head of the anaesthetic departments at the veterinary schools in Pennsylvania (USA), Finland, and Austria, and currently Melbourne, provides the anaesthetic support for patients at ANIDOS.
