HOW IT WORKS

In-house consultations & procedures
  • The referring veterinary practice or animal owner requests “an appointment” via the MAKE A REQUEST button, entering the animal, owner and practice details.
  • The case history and accompanying documents (e.g. dental radiographs, photographs) are uploaded via the SUBMIT CASE INFORMATION button.
  • These 2 apps use a common patient identifier enabling efficient handling of client information.
  • ANIDOS provides an estimate to the hosting or referring practice for the interventions indicated and confirms the appointment time.
  • The host practice provides the pre and post operative care, general anaesthesia, etc, and ANIDOS provides the expertise, equipment and materials relating to the procedure.
  • ANIDOS invoices the host practice with the fees and charges associated with the service and these are in turn billed to the animal owner.
  • ANIDOS provides the referring and host practices (often one and the same) and owner of the animal with a report for their medical records.
On-line case opinions & diagnostic imaging interpretation

Telehealth
  • The referring veterinary practice or animal owner requests “an appointment” via the MAKE A REQUEST button, entering the animal, owner and practice details.
  • The case history and accompanying documents (e.g. dental radiographs, photographs) are uploaded via the SUBMIT CASE INFORMATION button.
  • These 2 apps use a common patient identifier enabling efficient handling of client information.
  • ANIDOS will contact the animal owner by phone or video call at an agreed time.
  • ANIDOS invoices the animal owner with the fees and charges associated with the service.
  • ANIDOS provides the referring practice and owner of the animal with a report for their medical records.
Estimates
  • The referring veterinary practice requests “an appointment” via the MAKE A REQUEST button, entering the animal, owner and practice details and the scope of the referral.
  • The case history and accompanying documents (e.g. dental radiographs, photographs) are uploaded via the SUBMIT CASE INFORMATION button.
  • These 2 apps use a common patient identifier enabling efficient handling of client information.
  • ANIDOS provides the referring practice (or host practice) with the fees and charges associated with the service along with procedural time estimates. The practice then adds their fees and charges (e.g. pre-anaesthesia workup, hospitalisation, general anaesthesia, local anaesthesia, medications, etc) and presents the overall estimate to the animal owner.

SUBMIT CASE INFORMATION INSTRUCTIONS

The SUBMIT CASE INFORMATION button is a portal to Asteris Keystone Community – a web application facilitating the transmission of DICOM studies and other files to us. Whilst DICOM files are preferred, jpg radiographic files may also be uploaded. Other file types containing the patient history, reports, photographs and videos may be uploaded via the supplementary section. Community is not intended to be a primary DICOM image viewer; it serves to facilitate the transfer of medical data across computer networks. Since Community utilises the internet for data transfer, the rate at which images are uploaded is primarily dependent on your internet speed which can be tested at www.speedtest.net.

The link SUMBIT CASE INFORMATION should be utilised to access the free Asteris Keystone Community application which is your portal for sending referral information and consultation requests to us.

If this is the first time the patient data is being sent to Community for us, you will need to apply for a unique patient identifier from us by logging in to MAKE A REQUEST as “Guest“. Once you have the unique patient identifier you can use it to submit your request as described below. If you have already submitted patient data to Community for us, you can go straight to the link below and find your patient there.

Once inside Community, click on the “Import Studies” tab, drop in your files, add the patient data including the unique patient identifier (if the patient is not already in the system), and submit the case.

Click on the link below or copy and paste the entire link into an internet browser on the workstation that you wish to utilise to send referral information and consultation requests:
https://keystone.asteris.com.au/community/98cd4d6d-0400-8538-0126-ffffff210407

You will be prompted to complete a one-time registration to create your Keystone Community account.
After you have an account, you can access Keystone Community from any device by going to www.asteris.com.au and use the Login button at the top of the page or directly navigate to https://keystone.asteris.com.au/#/login.

Here is a link to a short video that will also outline setup and use of your new Keystone Community account:

To ensure that we receive proper diagnostic quality images, it’s best if you download the Keystone Community DICOM Service which allows for a direct DICOM send from your imaging modalities. To install and configure the DICOM Service, please utilise the following link for instructions – DICOM Service Installation Instructions.

Once your initial setup is complete, you’re free to easily submit consultation requests!!
